Katie says

"At around 9, I decided to have all my hair shaved off (I can’t actually remember why). My mid-teens were a mess of ill-fitting men’s jeans, plaid shirts and baggy T-shirts - although none of this was through choice.

"I tend to go for simple clean cut clothing with no fuss or decoration. I wear jeans every day but when it comes to going out or dressing for a work event, I often get stuck. Even when I’ve got on my least faded jeans and smartest black shirt, I still feel scruffy and out of place."

Around 80% of my wardrobe is black. I rotate the same black skinny jeans that I have three pairs of. My go-tos are a faded black oversized denim jacket and black Dr. Martens."

"My current style is very much an extension of the music I still listen to and the culture around that. It’s very difficult to break old habits and feel yourself at the same time!"

"The outfit was very pretty but not something I'd usually pick out for myself. The cut was very flattering and I liked the subtlety of the pattern. Inayia clearly has a good eye for accessorising and I think she did a great job matching the shoes and the bag, plus I really liked wearing the hat."

"Being 6’2” and spending a lot of my formative years with bright pink hair, I figured people stare anyway so why not wear things you enjoy and ignore the rules."

Pavan says

"I’m so used to being self-conscious about my height. I had a tough time at school and it made accepting my height difficult. I choose clothes that fit and are comfortable, rather than what looks nice."

"I’ve definitely become more conservative over the years. My mum used to dress my sister and I in matching clothes - different colours, but always the same outfit. I found an old photo of me wearing shorts and a crop top. I’d never wear that now! "

I think I’m in a style rut. I literally live in black leggings, T-shirt and hoodie, usually khaki. It’s my uniform - comfortable and convenient.

"I would never have picked this outfit for myself. Not because I don’t like it - I love it! - but because it’s different to what I always go for. I love the cold shoulder top. In the past, I’ve ruled out colours so the skirt feels like something I’d wear on holiday."

"I think the #StyleHasNoRules experience will make me braver. Sometimes I automatically assume something won’t look nice on me - I put up blockers so I won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t work."

"With clothes, I need someone to push me out of my comfort zone before I try something myself. And isn’t it ironic that it’s a child to do it?! Honestly that was the best surprise. Bibi did a great job!"

Sophie says

"When I was a teenager, I was constantly fearful of what people thought of me. I couldn’t get clothes that fitted and always felt uncomfortable. I was so used to walking around and having people stare."

"I’m not at ease posing or having cameras on me. If a camera appears, I just pull a silly face because I think I’m going to look ridiculous anyway. I naturally avoid those kind of situations."

I try to push myself but I’m not as adventurous as I could be; I normally wear basics and Dr. Martens. I don’t get the opportunity to wear anything girly or grown up.

"It’s as far removed from what I’d normally wear as you can get. And I love it. I feel really different - very feminine yet edgy at the same time."

"Before, I would look at a fluted top, like it and wonder what I could wear it with. I got into this thing where it was like 'this is what I wear' and I wouldn’t want to draw attention to myself by changing that. Now, I’m going to wear what I want to wear. What other people think doesn’t matter."

"At first, I found the #StyleHasNoRules experience a little scary. But actually, to go up there and have people tell you 'you look great' was really cool."

Zoe says

"I wear a uniform every day: red beret and green army combat uniform. At the weekend, I’ll go for whatever’s comfortable. I have two small children and two dogs, so clothes have to be easy and practical. I’ll normally wear jeans or leggings and a baggy top to cover the evidence of having had the children!"

"I don’t do feminine. I’ll wear shorts but I wouldn’t wear a skirt above the knee. I like blending into the background. A lot of it is to do with confidence about my height. I was always the tallest at school and even now, in the Army when we line up for military photos, it’s tallest on the left. I’m always the lone female voice for quite a long way down the line. I’m known as the 'Six Foot Blonde'!"

I wear a uniform every day but at the weekends I wear jeans and a hoodie so I can blend into the background.

"I feel wonderful! I’ve never worn a jumpsuit before. I didn’t think I’d like it but I love it. It’s surprisingly comfortable. I think I’ll try a maxi dress next."

"I tend to have ‘everyday’ clothes and ‘good’ clothes but I want to enjoy them more, that’s what they’re for! Ultimately, I need to get my head around what my style is. Since having the kids and losing the baby weight, I feel like I need to rediscover my style. Have I nailed it? It’s ongoing! "

"Today, being surrounded by tall women, and being styled by little Keira has been amazing. It’s definitely helped me on my style journey!"

Victoria says

"Every single day, I open my wardrobe and think, 'I’ve got nothing in here'. I don’t look as widely when I’m in shops now. I find what I like and that’s what I go with. Getting older and changing shape has made me less adventurous."

"I wore a gorgeous sequin dress to my cousin’s wedding 18 years ago. It was green with long sleeves and a slit up the leg. I felt fabulous, but would I wear it now? Absolutely not! I just wouldn’t feel comfortable."

I’ve lost the way a little bit. I feel like I can’t be exciting with my clothes anymore.

"It’s been really good to be pushed out of my comfort zone! I wouldn’t normally wear a jacket this colour or a dress with this length or shape, but I love it. And I’m not very good at all-over prints, I’m quite a plain girl."

"I wouldn’t have put these pieces together myself but they really work! Kimberly has a great eye, I want her to style my entire wardrobe!"

"I’m going to stop following style rules. I always used to say 'you can’t wear blue with black', but someone here today is wearing them together and it looks great!"

Dannii says

"I have my wardrobe staples and when I’m wearing those I feel quite confident. I tend to wear plain, black clothes – things that I know will fit well. They’re safe. The trouble is coming out of my comfort zone."

"I spend a lot of time thinking about what I’m going to wear. I put an outfit on, go downstairs and if I don’t feel it, I’ll go back up and get changed. It takes roughly three or four attempts before I’ve found one that I like."

I don’t feel confident putting outfits together. When I go shopping, I don’t choose clothes. They are chosen for me either by friends or shop assistants.

"Style rules are something I thought I had to follow. Double denim? Black and navy? I would never have worn them. Now I have the confidence to wear what I want to wear."

"After this experience, I’m going to try more bright, vibrant colours. It has taken a long journey for me to get to this point. But I will wear bright colours and I’ll do it with confidence."
