Based in a stunning brand office space in buzzing Aldgate East, the head office of LTS is the creative hub of the brand where fashion design, buying selections, fit sessions and branding decisions are made. It is also crucial in providing the infrastructure and network support to their worldwide stores and online operations.

The role:

Our website is the key sales channel for the LTS business and our in-house Web team is responsible for growing and maintaining the platform and infrastructure it runs on. Our current team works on a wide variety of tasks including the following:


  • • 3rd party integrations.
  • • Apache configuration.
  • • Automating deployments.
  • • Data cleansing and archival.
  • • Environment design improvements.
  • • Infrastructure monitoring
  • • Improving user journey performance.
  • • New promotional functionality.
  • • Performance testing and tuning.
  • • Security testing and remediation.
  • • SEO enhancements.

We are growing our team this year to take on more of the above and larger pieces of work including; a major hybris upgrade, payment and translation integrations, and launching additional translated websites. Duties & Responsibilities of all Developers:

  • • Adopting agile processes and methodologies to improve team workflow.
  • • Participating in sprint planning meetings:

    • – Identifying dependencies
    • – Highlighting potential challenges and solutions
    • – Evaluating task/story complexity and providing realistic estimates

  • • Carrying out new developments and bug fixes for the website
  • • Ensuring code standards are in place and followed
  • • Improving code quality via code review, automated testing & pair programming as needed
  • • Providing testing guidance for all new functionality
  • • Demonstrating completed functionality/bugfixes to BAs, QA analysts or stakeholders as needed
  • • Providing feedback and suggestions in the team retrospectives to improve team delivery and environment

Required Experience & Skills:

  • • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a computer-related discipline Java & J2EE core API experience with focus on web based projects
  • • Ability to think in innovative and creative ways
  • • At least 3 years industrial experience gained in any relevant industry sector
  • • Development ticketing/lifecycle management tooling experience
  • • Excellent communication skills in English; both oral and written
  • • Experience of technologies such as Bean Validation, JSTL and REST/SOAP Web Services
  • • Exposure to Agile methodologies (RUP, Scrum, TDD, RAD)
  • • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • • Operates at all times with integrity; adheres to the highest ethical standards in all interactions
  • • Spring Framework experience

Desirable Experience & Skills:

  • • Hybris Ecommerce platform experience
  • • Bitbucket, Confluence and JIRA experience
  • • Exposure to JMeter or other performance load testing tools
  • • Familiarity with front-end technologies: JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, CSS, SASS etc
  • • Object Orientated Design Experience with UML.

Direct Marketing Executive

 

Are you looking for an exciting and varied marketing role within a fast growing company?

We are currently looking for a Direct Marketing Executive to help oversee the direct mailing strategy to drive retention and customer acquisition, based in Aldgate East. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return will receive a competitive salary.

Long Tall Sally is a multi-channel retailer of clothing and shoes for tall women. We have stores, websites and catalogues catering for the UK, French, German, EU, US and Canadian markets.


The role


As our Direct Marketing Executive you will work with the Senior Campaign Manager to execute the company's communication strategy across all offline channels to increase customer value, retention and recruitment.


Our Direct Marketing Executive will have the below responsibilities:


  • • Implementation of the direct mailing operation on time and on budget
  • • Monitor KPI's for the direct marketing activities to optimize campaign profitability.
  • • Assisting in executing the company's extensive catalogue mailing programme (75 mailings per annum across 6 countries) including management of all key suppliers and stakeholders including printers, mailing house and internal creative teams
  • • Briefing data agencies, printers and mailing house on all direct marketing campaigns
  • • Coordinating and liaising with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of artwork to suppliers within deadlines
  • • Supporting the Senior Campaign Manager with the selection of data and the preparation of mailing plans
  • • Briefing and cross checking amends to copy and artwork
  • • Making sure that all the artwork for direct mailings is compliant with the company's brand identity
  • • Proof reading and checking artwork (spelling, offers, terms & conditions)
  • • Approving artwork and personalization of each direct mailing
  • • Monitor and maintain a record of tests and their performance to optimise decision-making
  • •Analysing and reporting on campaign performance

Skills and Experience required by our Direct Marketing Executive:


  • • Marketing or business degree (desirable but not essential)
  • • At least 2 years of direct mailing experience/experience in a similar role
  • • Project management skills - prioritising multiple deadlines to ensure they are met
  • • Structural and logical way of thinking
  • • Strong communication skills.

The Team:


The International marketing team are responsible for managing and developing the growing international markets at Long Tall Sally including; Germany, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and EU.

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for the German market, working alongside the International Marketing Manager and play a key role in nurturing current and identifying new marketing opportunities in the region.


Key responsibilities:


  • • Working with the International Marketing Manager to execute the multi-channel communication strategy across all on and offline channels.
  • • Provide German translations and proof reading for all customer communications; direct mailings, website, email and social media.
  • • Email Marketing; translations, scheduling campaigns, analyzing email performance and making recommendations on improvements.
  • • Implement schedules according to the marketing plan and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • • Executing the digital strategy for the German market; PPC, Shopping, Affiliates, Social Media and SEO
  • • o Keyword research, optimisation of copy and setting up landing pages.
  • • Indentifying local marketing opportunities inc. key dates for social activity and promotions.
  • • Assisting with marketing reporting for the German market.
  • • Running market research and competitor analysis.
  • • General admin tasks for the department.

Experience and required skills:


  • • Native German speaker is essential
  • • Min. of 1 year experience in digital marketing (PPC, SEO and Social etc.)

About the team:


Headed up by Natalie (Nats), the 11-strong Merchandising team play a key role in maximising Long Tall Sally’s profitability by predicting and monitoring sales trends and accurately controlling stock levels. The Merch team love a spreadsheet and are meticulously organised.


The role:


  • • Responsible for assisting the Senior Merchandiser in the day to day running of the Merchandising department.
  • • Managing commitment to ensure on time delivery through working with the Buying teams and liaising with the Warehouse.
  • • Liaising directly with the Marketing team to ensure stock availability for launch.
  • • WSSI updating and management.
  • • Line card management. Responsibility to ensure that all key lines are fully stocked in all markets.
  • • Forecasting sales and stock level to achieve sales plans and margin/profit for the category.
  • • Working alongside the Senior Merchandiser and agreeing the strategy and targets for the category.
  • • Executing markdown strategy.
  • • Manage and Develop a Merchandising Admin Assistant – overseeing the allocation process.
