Responsible to Head of Creative

Long Tall Sally is the global go-to for tall style. We don't just dress tall women; we celebrate tall women. We're the world's leading tall retailer with stores, websites and catalogues for UK, North American and European customers. With seriously ambitious expansion plans, ours is a business that stands tall, in every way.

We are looking for an In-House Creative Artworker who has experience working in a fast-paced environment yet has the best attention to detail. You must have a minimum of 3 years commercial experience as an artworker preferably in retail mail order and be an expert in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. An excellent knowledge of artwork is essential and you will have experience preparing files for print.

Job Purpose

To support the Graphic Designers creating accurate artwork in all areas of print design for catalogue layouts, direct mail and POS.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Working closely with the designers, copywriter, retoucher and colleagues in the marketing department to take catalogues in all territories from design to print ready artwork.
  • • Preparing direct mail to print ready artwork.
  • • Amending, checking, pre-flighting all artwork.
  • • Flagging up potential artwork errors and fixing as necessary.
  • • Communicating with editorial, buying, merchandising and QC teams to make sure all content is accurate.
  • • Liaise with the appropriate people/departments to ensure every job is delivered on time and to standard.
  • • Supporting the designers throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.
  • • Assist in proof reading all collateral.
  • • To undertake other duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the position.
  • • Ensuring all artwork adheres to brand guidelines.
  • • Actively contribute toward optimising ways of working within artwork production to improve workflow.

  • • Outstanding attention to detail
  • • Experience of the print industry and processes
  • • Experience working in mail order
  • • Solid experience of working within a studio environment
  • • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure keeping a positive outlook
  • • Knowledge of Dutch or German would be an advantage but is not essential
