Diary of a tall girl

Tall TV Heaven

Am I the only one out there who is glued to “The Apprentice”? I’m completely addicted! Yes, sometimes it can be totally cringe-worthy, watching the contestants squabble and backstab their way through to the boardroom but you have to admit its great TV!

And then of course there’s Debra Barr, The 6ft fellow tall girl who is doing us, tall women no favours at all!  Her ruthless and manipulative approach to business has sparked many a debate and given her no points at all in the popularity stakes.

Many people perceive tall women as an intimidating force and men in particular seem to find them threatening and you’ve got to admit Deborah certainly appears to be proving this stereotype right.

Maybe, she should consider an LTS makeover, to show off her softer side?  I mean she loves a sharp suit but maybe modernising her style would project a softer appeal. Dove grey and beige suits are a stylish replacement to her usual black ensembles and would compliment her fair complexion. Plus, a navy shift dress is also a chic alternative to a power suit and she could even glam up her wardrobe with a fitted waistcoat and matching trousers.

Although, what amused me the most about Deborah was when fellow contestant Paula Jones was asked about her height on the show’s sister programme: “The Apprentice: You’re fired”. The likeable and quietly humorous Paula came out with one of the best comments of the show so far: “Oh yes, she’s about 6 foot….. 7 with her mouth open.”

I think that says it all!

Great Article, I love the Apprentice but I hated Deborah- she gave tall women a bad name!
