A day in the life of a designer..
Paris Catwalks
The season’s catwalk shows were wound up by Paris fashion week. It’s great looking at these ultra-luxe garments in the fashion press whilst the rest of the media are focusing on our bank accounts in such a depressing way.
The 1980’s feel continued with the likes of Christian Dior, in the form of “large’ shouldered orange skin biker jackets. I am not sure many people can carry this look off either now or in the eighties!
My personal favourites were Givenchy, which had a slight goth rocker look to it. I absolutely loved the white tie front blouse; the tie came down past your knees! It was worn with a tuxedo, cummerbund and black skinny trousers. Stella McCartney’s collection was mini dress- tastic including a cloud grey jumper dress with sparkly vest and mannish jackets – Also very eighties.
So after I’d been browsing the shows on the Internet, who needs a front row seat! I flicked to our new website to try it out. It has had a few teething problems but the e-marketing team have been working really hard on it, often enduring many, many hours in one stretch.
It was well worth it though, I think I will check out some of my own designer wear because it looks so great on the web!
I could put my winter wardrobe together…Or maybe I should be doing my Christmas shopping – It's less than 10 weeks to go….Arrrgh!
