My youngest daughter has a big problem- She wants to be taller! It’s really funny as she’s tall as she is but because I am so tall and she is smaller than my eldest daughter she feels she isn’t tall enough!

When I was at school I was head and shoulders above everybody else, hence walking with a stoop to try and disguise my tall frame. Even now both my daughters make the odd joke if I slip on a pair of heels (Which isn’t very often) because I tower above everyone!

I like the whole gothic trend that is around this winter.  It takes me back to when I was a teenager and I went through a whole goth phase! I would wear only black, black eyeliner was a staple and I even went as far as wearing black lipstick which sent my mother into dismay! However, I do feel because winter is so dark and miserable black can often get a bit dark and heavy. Although it can be a very comfortable colour to wear and let’s me slip back into my comfort zone.

I love the layered look and would not be without my silk thermal vest which sounds terribly boring but keeps me snug. I love the Oxford shift dress it’s so Audrey Hepburn and just one of those dresses you can wear for any occasion. In the LTS catalogue, it’s shot with a big brooch and oversize bag but you could tone down the accessories and wear it to the office.  Just team it with a pair of heels, big chandelier earrings and some gloves for an extra luxurious look.

I can’t imagine myself wearing the Circus themed trend, I don’t like the bowler hat look, I think you have to be careful as it doesn’t suit everyone. I will be sticking to my cashmere scarf, gloves and Ugg boots which I can’t leave home without!

So, Christmas is coming and the cold weather is fast approaching even now I am practically living in my LTS dressing gown! It’s so warm it’s like getting into a giant teddy bear with its cosy hood and really long sleeves.

Do you know how great it is to find a dressing gown that’s the right length?! It actually reaches my ankles- Where it should be! It’s so funny because when I’m wearing it my little kitten keeps coming up and pawing me, like I’m her mother!

Another item you’ll see me constantly wearing through the cold months ahead is the Grace coat.  It’s my absolute favourite buy, of the whole LTS catalogue; I’ve actually got four of them. My mother has one and so do my two children- God, forbid if we were ever to go out wearing them all at the same time, we’d look so ridiculous!

I just think it’s such a lovely coat, a true wardrobe staple and the shape is so flattering! Although it is all about the collar for me, it definitely makes the coat. Some faux fur can look quite cheap but this fur collar really makes the outfit special.

I’m a last minute planner I don’t know what I am going to wear until the evening of an event. I just go with what is hanging up in my wardrobe at the time.  With plenty of Christmas parties to prepare for I am always in need of something glamorous to wear!

I like to jazz up an outfit with accessorises, you can take the simplest outfit and make it look fabulous just by adding a chic pair of gloves for pure fifties glamour.

I also like to inject some Christmas sparkle to my outfits with gorgeous jewellery. I love all the cuffs that are around at the moment, if you are long and tall they work really well as they are statement pieces. Big watches, brooches and a pair of chandelier earrings are also a popular choice this season they can instantly turn a day outfit into eveningwear and look great if you are tall.

I just can’t wait for the party season to come around so I can wear it all!

I can’t believe half term has come around so quickly, time is flying at the moment! I have been so busy with lots of projects and events to plan and keep me occupied.

At the beginning of November, I will be co- hosting an event at the Savoy theatre called “Future dreams” which is in aid of breast cancer. It all sounds really exciting and I’m glad I have had the opportunity to really get involved.

As far as work is concerned I’m writing a lot of shows for my production company “Libra”. I have been pitching and developing new and exciting ideas to Channel 4 and the BBC. You may be surprised to hear that they are a diverse mix of programmes, not necessarily fashion based; from kids TV to show’s aimed at young women.

I am working with TV psychologist Linda Papadopoulos. We met after doing a radio show together and just clicked, it’s so nice to write with a friend and develop an idea together.

Talking of projects, I recently went on the LTS spring photoshoot at a beautiful country estate in Herefordshire, it may sound ultra glamorous to you but it was so cold! I had a chest infection a few weeks before and we were shooting outside- I was absolutely freezing!

Clothes wise I was really impressed, I will certainly be putting my name down for getting a maxi skirt! The new season colours are also really beautiful and vibrant, which makes a change from all the black and grey we are seeing this winter. There are some fantastic investment buys for spring, I thought the wide leg trousers were great and I wore the Panama hat with virtually everything!

Every single season LTS keeps getting better and better and much more wearable. I can’t wait to start updating my spring wardrobe.

Roll on sunnier climes!
